Cadmium Iodide - CdI2
CdI2 has a common structural arrangement shared by many halides of the transition metals with formula MX2. It has a hexagonal close packed array of iodide ions with Cd(II) sitting in 1/2 of the octahedral sites and between adjacent layers of I's.

MnI2, FeBr2,FeI2, CoBr2, CoI2.
