A combination of Chime/JCAMP-DX VIEWER with results from common computational chemistry programs can be used to link theoretical results to experimental spectra on a single computer screen. The methodology is straightforward, and can be accomplished on any modern Intel-based computer system with SVGA graphics and WWW browser.

The result is a combination of experimental data and computational results with student-manipulated animation. This combination cannot be achieved with static media, and is a demonstration of the potential power of the WWW to do things that cannot be done on paper.
