Choose a Chromium complex.
In the visible spectrum displayed, select the lowest energy peak then the higher energy peak and the ratio and estimate of Δ/B' will be automatically calculated for you.
You can drag and drop your own JCAMP-DX spectrum into the spectral area or type in your own peak positions.
peak 1 cm-1 peak 2 cm-1.
The ratio of the energies is An estimate of the value of Δ/B' is (from Lever ratio method) and an estimate of the Magnetic Moment is B.M. (using Cole and Garrett estimation)
If instead, you typed in your own peak positions, you need to to find the ratio and an estimate of Δ/B
This deletes the peak positions that are copied to the d3 Tanabe Sugano diagram.

Thanks to L. Muir-Green for checking the suitability of some of the Cr(III) complexes.
